To provide effective production management, feeding strategy, staff oversight & leadership.

Ensure timely and effective management of the system to achieve commercial targets. Lead the development of systems and efficiencies for operating the RAS for commercial production of high value species.

Key tasks

  • Overseeing and continuously improving performance of RAS system

  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures

  • Production planning and forecasting

  • Planning of any improvements to the system

  • Feed management

  • Staff management and mentoring

General

  • Follow strict hygiene and bio-security protocols

  • Adhere to Health and Safety standard

  • Infrastructure management and maintenance within operating budget.

  • Cost control and efficiency management

Entry level

  • Graduate qualification in aquaculture or equivalent experience

  • Leadership qualification or experience

  • Commercial aquaculture operations management experience

  • Familiar with national and international standards and regulations for the operation of land-based aquaculture systems

  • Strong understanding of health and safety
