RAS Lead Technician
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
As a Lead Aquaculture RAS Technician, you’ll take the lead in overseeing the daily care, feeding, and health of our farmed species — including Kingfish and Salmon.
You’ll support and guide the technician team to make sure our fish are growing in the best possible conditions, and that the feeding and production plans are carried out effectively on site.
What you’ll do
Work closely with the Production Manager, helping to plan, prioritise, and direct daily tasks
Follow strict hygiene and bio-security protocols
Adhere to Health and Safety standards
Maintain RAS infrastructure
Troubleshoot and assist with staff issues
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a practical, confident team leader who knows their way around aquaculture systems and enjoys hands-on work.
A tertiary qualification in aquaculture – highly beneficial.
A solid understanding of recirculating systems and production processes.
A good level of physical fitness – this is an active, on-your-feet role.
Strong leadership, communication, and people skills to guide and support your team.
Great attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
Basic plumbing and low-voltage electrical wiring know-how.
Sharp troubleshooting and problem-solving skills – you stay calm under pressure and find solutions fast.
