What you’ll do
Conduct fieldwork at sea, along coasts, or in marine reserves, including water sampling, species monitoring, and animal tagging.
Analyse data from field studies and laboratory experiments to draw meaningful conclusions.
Investigate the effects of climate change, pollution, and human activity on marine ecosystems.
Support sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture operations.
Prepare reports, research papers, and recommendations for government, industry, or conservation organisations.
Use technology such as sonar, underwater drones, and GIS mapping to monitor marine environments.
Engage with the public through education and outreach to promote marine conservation awareness.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in: Marine Biology, Marine Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Advanced roles may require a master’s or PHD, particularly for research, teaching or senior advisory positions.
Skills and experience:
Practical experience in boat handling, diving (e.g., PADI certification), data analysis, GIS, and laboratory techniques is highly desirable.
