Oyster Farm Worker
Salary: $54,000 - $85,000
Aquaculture shore workers play a crucial role in supporting farm operations by carrying out a range of land-based tasks that keep oyster production running smoothly. This includes maintaining a steady, controlled supply of oysters and completing essential yard and shed duties.
Most oyster farm roles involve working outdoors in marine environments such as harbours, estuaries, and intertidal zones. A genuine love of the outdoors is important, along with the ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain good physical fitness.
Oyster farms may use traditional farming techniques, modern technologies, or a mix of both, so workers need to be adaptable and open to learning new processes and equipment
