With aquaculture involving exports, capital-intensive operations, and seasonal workforces, finance roles are critical for long-term growth and compliance.

They provide insights to guide business decisions, monitor performance, and help drive growth.

What you’ll do:

As part of our finance team, you will play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.

• Maintain financial records, assist with month-end processes, and prepare routine financial reports.

• Monitor budgets, track expenditure, and support cost control across farm, hatchery, and processing operations.

• Assist with payroll processing, staff expenses, and compliance with IRD and industry requirements.

• Support inventory valuation, asset tracking, and production cost analysis.

• Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and cash-flow reports to support management decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and internal financial controls.

• Contribute to financial planning, risk management, and process improvements across the organisation.

What we’re looking for:

You will have:

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience in accounts, bookkeeping, or financial administration (with senior experience for higher-level roles).

• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.

• Ability to meet deadlines, manage priorities, and work well across farm, hatchery, and processing teams.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

• A proactive mindset with a willingness to improve processes and support operational efficiency.

• Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or business (or working towards these for junior roles).
